OpenDot organised events, meetings, workshops focused on food and cooking for #IKEAtemporary in July, August and September 2015 as part of EXPO Milano 2015.

The OpenDot and IKEA partnership made IKEAtemporary a living space for experimentation and meetings, where a large company opened to the maker movement for the first time and provided its customers innovative processes between learning-by-doing, customisation and product hacking.

The space in Via Vigevano 18, Milan was enlivened by meetings, debates and practical and engaging workshops for three months. This established a new relationship where consumers became part of a community. Creative cookery lessons, workshops, seminars, performances, children's play laboratories and DIY customisation hands-on activities enabled new ways of using objects. òbelo, TourDeFork, I Tradizionali, Soup Opera, Food For Good, Calembour Design, OpenDot and its community were among the dynamic and innovative realities involved.
