We believe in
shared innovation
OpenDot is a Foundation, equipped with a Fab Lab, that promotes innovation through participatory design, open-source technology, and active community involvement, encouraging the development of shared and inclusive solutions.
Founded in 2014 as the FabLab and Innovation Hub of the multidisciplinary design studio Dotdotdot, in 2025 it chose to strengthen its social commitment by becoming an ETS Foundation, thus consolidating a path already rooted in 10 years of active experience in the sector.
OpenDot has always operated through a network of partners - universities, research centres, communities and local administrations, businesses, Fab Labs - and has consolidated expertise in the management of European projects dedicated to innovation, participation and social activation.
OpenDot is a multidisciplinary team of designers, makers, developers and communication experts, able to accompany its partners through all stages of design, from the co-creation of the idea to its final realisation.
OpenDot uses accessible tools and methods based on the open source philosophy, which allow it to create scalable and replicable solutions and amplify their impact.
