The OpenDot Fab Lab offers a new evening training course for teachers, designed to provide a practical introduction to digital manufacturing with the aim of learning, exploring, and subsequently passing on new skills to students.
Digital manufacturing for teachers is a set of technologies and processes that will allow you to design and create physical objects from digital models. By learning how to use tools such as 3D printers or laser cutters, you can bring your ideas and projects to life quickly, accurately, and in a customizable way.
The approach you will find at OpenDot's Fab Lab combines design, technology, and experimentation, making it possible to move from concept to prototype (and product) in a short time. Digital manufacturing is also designed to encourage open innovation, self-production, and collaboration, and is the basis for new ways of thinking about production that are more sustainable, flexible, and accessible.
During this specific training, we will focus on the independent design and creation of customized teaching aids, thus responding to the concrete needs you may encounter in your daily teaching.
We have planned three sessions, developed with a learning-by-doing approach, dedicated respectively to Laser Cutting, 3D Printing, and Coding and Robotics for Teaching.
The training is free upon subscription to the annual membership card, which costs €25 and includes insurance and access to the laboratory for 12 months.
