Everyone’s bike

This project involved a three-wheel bicycle with smaller cranks, ergonomic saddle, adjustable handlebars and backrest. It has been built using co-design, customisation and rapid prototyping. The components adapted from a few standard elements, e.g. 16″ front wheel, rear bogie wheels, standard freewheel, and a cartridge bottom bracket. The steering uses a wheel hub, and the frame is milled from phenolic birch panels. The 3D model can be easily adapted to the needs of children with different disabilities. From this model, two bespoke products have been made: Lorenzo's bicycle and Viola's bicycle.
