Children with complex neurological disorders often have significant morphological bone changes. It is imperative to correct this tendency early, using hand braces as support for motor exercises.
Before the advent of 3D printers, the hand braces were made as plaster casts. Today, thanks to new technologies, it is possible to scan the joints and reproduce them in a lighter and more resistant material that can be coloured, customised and washed. This uses special software which allows therapists to create 3D models independently.
The processing time is drastically reduced, and the result is more functional and aesthetically pleasing for the child.
