"Archivio in Viaggio" is a portable educational kit designed by OpenDot for the Italian Touring Club from a selection of materials from the TCI Historical Archive for educational activities in schools designed for children aged eight to 13.
The kit promotes the protection and enhancement of the heritage and regions shown in the archive material, knowledge of social, cultural and environmental changes throughout history, and encourages new generations to take care of the city's cultural and local heritage.
Using Touring Club Historical Archive maps, photographs, images and postcards, children and young people will develop skills such as reading traditional and digital cartography, photographic documents, and critical and creative thinking about the future and the main topical issues.
The project is promoted by Fondazione di Comunità Milano through the Bando57, in partnership with the cultural association Passato Prossimo, and educator Ruggero Poi, president of "Associazionedidee", director of the "Ambienti d'Apprendimento e Formazione" office at Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, founder of "Fondazione Montessori Italia."
